Sports Bra's Destroy Women's Femininity?

When working out, training or performing in athletic events, women are being stigmatized for their appearance. In this video Jenna Marbles talks about sports bra and responds to a comment about how they are destroying women's femininity. What do you think about this stigma?

  1. Although we're in a modern era, we're still presented with the antiquated idea that women should be limited to certain roles that enhance, rather than diminish, their femininity. In most sports, women are required to wear outfits that may lessen their appeal; thus, ravaging the image they should uphold as uterus-having human beings. It's completely nonsensical and archaic to be so fixated on women's sports and uniforms/outfits, but, as the heteronormative, machismo-driven society we are, we cannot seem to grasp the notion that women are not the property of men, nor should they have to cater to anyone's definition of femininity. Jenna, in a comedic, yet profound manner, made excellent points addressing this issue, and I applaud her for taking a stand. Anyone, regardless of gender, should not feel objectified and ridiculed for something as mundane as sports clothing.
